Finding Eden is the continuation of Becoming Calder. Both of these books will be releasing simultaneously on October 5th. You need to read Becoming Calder first... this is the continuation of Calder and Eden’s story.
Once I was finished reading Finding Eden, I had to just sit back and reflect on the book for a little while. I couldn’t just jump into writing my review for it, I needed to take some time to think about it and let it all sink in. When I read Becoming Calder, I was completely awestruck with how the book grabbed me and captivated me, I wasn’t sure if any book could hold a candle to it. I was wrong. Finding Eden was every bit as captivating as Becoming Calder. I couldn’t wait to be reunited with Calder and Eden, I needed to find out how their story would end.
As much as I would like to discuss the story in detail, to shout about it from the rooftops, I have to keep it spoiler free. You really need to read both of these books and experience them for yourselves…you won’t be disappointed.
I fell completely, head over heels in love with Calder and Eden’s story. In my opinion, Mia Sheridan has written a flawless story that will stay with the reader long after the final word is read. To say that this book tugged at my heartstrings would be an understatement. This book is brimming with so much heartfelt emotion that it left me breathless, speechless and teary eyed.
Calder and Eden had to endure horrific and unimaginable events in their young lives. Their courage, strength, devotion, and pure love was a beacon that lit the way during their journey.
“But what I did know was that I loved a girl. And I knew I loved her in a way I’d never, ever recover from. I knew I loved her to the very core of myself. And I knew she loved me back.”
The story was so well written and intricately woven. I witnessed Calder and Eden’s youth, I saw them fall in love, watched them grow up. I experienced their pain, suffering, heartache, hope, and joy. There was so much to this story that touched me and made my heart swell with emotion.
“I swear to you, my beautiful, sweet love, everyone deserves a love story that doesn’t hurt.”
I would have to say that Becoming Calder and Finding Eden are perfection…they are the reasons why I enjoy reading. The story was so unbelievably moving, unique, mesmerizing, thoughtful, and absolutely beautiful. Finding Eden was a fantastic conclusion to Calder and Eden’s journey. It didn’t leave any stone unturned, all of my questions were answered.
Becoming Calder and Finding Eden left me in a book haze…that feeling of pure and utter contentment…completely blown away…in book love. They are easily two of the best books that I have ever read.
