This is the story of a couple of misfits, Pete and Kyle, and their misadventures as they help Evelyn and her mother find Eveyln’s father. Oh yeah, they do this in the midst of the zombie apocalypse, that shouldn’t complicate matters any, should it?
The Zombie Days takes a lighthearted look at the post-apocalyptic genre. It is filled with some clever dialogue, ridiculous situations and one of the most creatively explosive methods of killing zombies that I have ever read. The plot is well thought out and definitely unique for the genre.
Pete and Kyle work well as a comic duo with their banter, always trying to outdo the other for the attention of Evelyn. She brings some level headedness to the group and helps to keep the two heroes on track. Not an easy task with those two.
The Zombie Days is a well written and developed story. It is unlike anything else, and can establish its own place in the crowded PA world. It probably isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, the humor being more on the frat boy side of things, but if you are in the right frame of mind, this story could be right up your alley.
