2 Book Lovers Reviews
Kaley Kennedy is in her graduating year of high school, has great friends, a gorgeous boyfriend, a loving family, and big dreams for her future. Her life seems perfect and on the right track. But that would be a boring story…and this book is anything but boring! Throw in a young, good looking math teacher, a forbidden attraction, secrets, lies, betrayals, and a ton of angst, and you’ve got The Force of Gravity.
This is a fantastic debut novel by a very promising new author. I have read quite a few student/teacher romance books, and I would have to say that this one ranks right up there with some of my favorites.
There were times during the book when Kaley seemed so incredibly immature, but then again, she’s an eighteen year old high school senior, of course she’s immature. Her emotions were all over the place, she didn’t feel like she fit in with her usual crowd anymore, she was going through family problems, she had a crush on her teacher, and she was unsure of her future- that would throw any young woman for a loop!
The story hooked me early on and kept me entertained until the end. It has all of the elements that a great forbidden love story should have – the intense attraction, how the characters handle their relationship, the threat of being found out, and whether or not they can overcome their differences. The Force of Gravity is a very well written and interesting story. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
