This is a fun, quick read that is sure to please anyone who is looking for a little holiday romance.

Alex is a feisty, tough-as-nails private investigator who is brought in to help the local police department solve a series of Christmas burglaries.  Ryan, one of the detectives assigned to the case, wants nothing more than to see this case solved quickly.  Yes, he wants to find the burglar, but he also wants to be rid of the sassy, frustrating P.I. who is always getting under his skin. While Alex sees what she wants and is prepared to put her feelings on the line, Ryan is fighting their chemistry every step of the way.  Is the ‘Grinch’ the burglar or Ryan?  Truthfully, it could apply to either of them. 

S.R. McKade did a great job of creating the characters, the tension, and the push and pull between them, all in a short amount of time.  Complete with angst, witty banter, and male family members who could easily crush a potential suitor, this story was definitely an entertaining read.  I’m looking forward to reading a full-length novel by this author.
