This book was probably one of the most emotional books that I have ever read! I had an inkling of what it was about, but what I didn’t expect was to be experiencing such highs and lows with the mere flip of a page. I would be laughing on one page and then crying on the next. Gayle Forman has written a beautiful and powerful story that will definitely stay with you long after you read the final page.

These are the things that Mia has to decide. This is a choice that no adolescent should have to make, but life was unkind and stripped her of the love and stability that she once had. This book takes you on a journey between Mia’s past, her present, and her unforeseeable future as she struggles to decide her own fate. It is filled with heartwarming family memories, humor and love that will leave you absolutely breathless.

The whole book is told within the span of one day. The story flows so smoothly from the memories in Mia’s past, where she relives some of her happiest times, to the present day. Gayle Forman has created such an incredible and unique cast of characters that will have you smiling, laughing, crying and loving right along with them.

I finished this book in one sitting- I couldn’t put it down. I felt completely drained and emotionally spent after I closed the book… but it was worth every minute, every smile, and every tear!
