This is the second book in the trilogy. It picks up right where the first one left off with Gabriel and Julia in Italy. I was really looking forward to beginning this novel…and I was not disappointed! I love this author’s writing, it is so thoughtful and emotional.
Please don’t read any further if you have not read Gabriel’s Inferno…I don’t want to spoil the story for you.
Gabriel and Julia have a beautiful and passionate relationship. He is no longer her professor and has relinquished his duties as her thesis advisor. This in no way means that it is smooth sailing for these two lovers. One of Gabriel’s students will stop at nothing to see that his career is ruined and that Julia’s graduate studies are in shambles. An ex-lover from Gabriel’s past comes back to create problems for the two of them. She played a very important role in Gabriel’s past and he feels responsible to her for many bad things that went on between them.
When the university is informed of Gabriel and Julia’s involvement, politics come into play and their relationship is put under the microscope. Things don’t go the way that they plan and decisions are made in order to save Julia’s education at the university. She feels betrayed, hurt, angry, and alone. What happens to Gabriel and Julia? Can their love survive all of the obstacles in their way? Read this book and find out!
