Five Stars! I’m not sure that my words can do this book the justice that it so deserves. I knew that The Law of Moses was going to be special, but I had no idea that it was going to move me the way that it did.
Whenever I read a book by Amy Harmon, I’m always awestruck over her ability to create storylines and characters that are so unique, captivating, and all-consuming. She doesn’t just tell a story, she makes her readers feel every word, every emotion, and leaves them reeling over it long after the final word is read.
Upon finishing The Law of Moses, I felt as though I had just run a marathon. I felt spent, depleted, and emotionally drained. I don't think I've ever cried so much while reading a book. I'm not just talking about a couple of tears (those happen sometimes), I mean streams of tears rolling down my cheeks, blurring my eyes and making it almost impossible to read. I felt this book in my heart and soul. But don’t worry, it’s not all tears and tissues. This book is powerful, endearing, romantic, mysterious, and pure gold.
I could dissect everything that I loved about The Law of Moses, give a rundown or a play-by-play of what happened, but this book begs to be read and experienced individually. I highly recommend this book to everyone. Read it, savor it, and lose yourself in this incredible, heart-wrenching story.
The Law of Moses is an emotional, hauntingly beautiful story that has secured its place on my list of favorite books of all-time.
