This is the third book in this vampire series. This book was amazing! I enjoyed the other two books, but this one really hit the mark for me.
This book focuses on Zsadist. Zsadist is the scariest brother of them all. He is a scarred, tattooed, bald, muscled, mean vampire. He is a product of his past. He was a blood slave years ago and he was tortured, abused, raped, and humiliated. He wears his scars on the inside as well as the outside. He is a ferocious fighter who will use any means of savagery to obtain his goal. He is feared by humans and also other vampires.
Bella is a vampire from an aristocratic family. She is beautiful and she is attracted to Zsadist. Most of their encounters have been unpleasant. He doesn’t really want her around and he is often rude to her. Bella had been kidnapped by a member of the Lessening Society and this Lesser became obsessed with her. He thought that he was in love with her and that she was like his dead wife. Needless to say, this is one sick and twisted lesser! Zsadist makes it his sole mission to save Bella. He can’t even explain his obsession with her...he just needs to protect her.
There is some angst in this book. There is also somewhat of a love triangle. Zsadist’s twin brother, Phury, is also attracted to Bella. Phury is a beautiful vampire with long multi-colored locks of hair and he has no external scarring.
There is a lot to this book. You learn a great deal about Zsadist and his horrific past. You also have the fabulous love story that occurs. This book does not disappoint in the action department either. A lot of things transpire in this book. It just makes me eager to continue with this series.
