Keeping Jahleel - By S. Ann Cole

What happens when two people love each other to the point of obsession?

They end up hurting the one that they love the most.

If you haven’t read Jahleel, then I suggest that you read it first. It will help you to understand the characters in this book…trust me, they are unlike any characters that you have encountered in your romance books. This is definitely not your run of the mill love story. It will make you want to jump through the pages and into the book just to shake some smarts into this couple. I love a book that makes me feel so strongly about it.

Keeping Jahleel delves further into Saskia and Jahleel’s relationship. They are together at last, they have had their share of ups and downs, they are in it for the long haul…or are they? To say that this couple is dysfunctional would be an understatement. They finally have what they’ve longed for – each other, but now they are obsessing over how they are going to keep the other person happy and in the relationship.

“You must understand how much I need you, crave you, love you. You must understand why I’m being so whiny and pesty and perpetually seeking your assurance: it’s because I’m my own enemy, my own murderer. I fear my own self and what I’ll do to me if I don’t have you. My obsession with you is deep. My love for you is depraved. You must understand that you cannot leave me.”

Saskia is a superstar singer with popularity, beauty, and riches. Jahleel is a gorgeous dancer and choreographer who has also found his share of fame. With everything going for them, this couple has a great abundance of insecurities in their relationship. Oh, their insecurities aren’t all unwarranted. They have experienced a great deal of pain at the hand of the other. I won’t get into too many specifics…in case you haven’t read the first book.

This book definitely kept me turning the pages and wanting to read more. The characters in it will make you scream, pull your hair…and make you attempt to whip your Kindle across the room...that’s what makes this book so good! Is their relationship doomed, are they better off apart, or are they a match made in heaven?
